“The combination of Curry, Thompson, Wiggins, Dream and Rooney was the Warriors best starting five last season. Despite the addition of Paul, and despite the fact that he told reporters he might be starting, it’s safe to say that the Warriors have one of the best starting five in the league for the upcoming season, but the Warriors’ bench is their biggest drawback, in other words, Curry’s absence from the court for the duration of the time he’s on the court is their Achilles’ heel.”
“But now things have taken a 180-degree turn, as their bench will be made up of these guys: with Paul leading the bench as the point guard, third-year Moody at point guard, Kouminga at small forward, Jackson Davis at power forward, and Saric at center. While last season was Paul’s worst, the good news is that he’s still as effective as ever, the second is that he’s still in great physical shape as you can see from the man’s dunk videos, and the third is that playing off the bench doesn’t require him to play more than 30 minutes a game, he only needs to provide 20 minutes.”
